Electronic Interiors evolved from the first company in the country to get involved in the structured cabling home automation industry. This company "Smart Automation" introduced the structured cabling concept to the building industry in Western Australia. Before long the growth of the industry necesitated an expansion into a showroom, which brought about a brief foray into the retail industry as well. This was an elightening experience as it highlighted the fact that clients were looking for help with the design of their home much more than the sale of a box.

This period of growth in the industry created a need to train people in all aspects of the industry and with our change of name to Electronic Interiors (we found the word automation frightened some people, thinking it may mean they'll lose control of the systems and appliances in their home) our ideas and influence in the industry spread throughout the country giving rise to the introduction of many good people to it. Electronic Interiors Brisbane was one such business and the exceptional people over there are doing great things for their customers as well as the industry as a whole.

NOW

In 2006 we saw a need to give our clients a more hands on experience with the design and technology we were assisting them with. We looked for an easily accesible location that would allow us to do just that. We found just such a place in Burswood Rd Burswood. Located on our beautiful Swan river right at the gateway to the magnificent Perth city yet with easy acces from the freeways coming from all directions.

This old office/warehouse was a challenge but with the assistance of a creative architect and interior designer the ideas and concepts took shape and the superb showroom/display home started to take shape. The construction has taken some time but it is close to completion and the advantages of taking our time have been many. We have been able to create a concept two storey home within the existing warehouse that many of our clients have expressed a keen desire to move into if we would let them. Over all this time we have been extremely busy with steady growth in our workload as well as working around a building site, that naturally most of our clients can relate to but we've also been able to show clients many of the stages of installation that they will experience in their own home.
